UPDATE: Armageddon Unlimited™ – ships Friday. This is ironic, because at one point it looked like we were going to get Armageddon Unlimited™ early. Then, one of our printer’s massive machines went down in the bindery and everything log-jammed. We’re thankful it’s only a one day delay. Pre-orders will ship Friday (those already placed have been prepped and are waiting only for the book to be enclosed), as will distributor copies. I’m happy to report online and distributor sales for Armageddon Unlimited have been much strong.
UPDATE: Rifter® Super-Subscription Offer – ENDS February 28, 2011. That means you have only a little more than two weeks to take advantage of this once a year special offer with a FREE GIFT. UPDATE: Rifts Dimension Book 14: Thundercloud Galaxy™ is in production. I have only done a small portion of work on this fun title, as the last week or two has had me on the telephone talking to freelancers, plotting the Creators Conference, and exploring new ideas and opportunities – not to mention helping Alex in the aftermath of his house fire. I was off to a good start and hope to devote all my attention to it again starting tomorrow. The book is now likely to slip into an early March release. Even if I could magically finish the book by Monday, it would take the printer 2-3 weeks to print and deliver it. Grrr. We’re probably looking at a ship date of around March 14. Sorry.
UPDATE: Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™ and the Vampires Sourcebook™ are being worked on right now too. Nick Bradshaw is hungry for art assignments and Braden Campbell is waiting for me to get back to him on some of his ideas.
UPDATE: Rifts® Lemuria. I gave John Zeleznik the go ahead to start working on cover sketches and I told Nick Bradshaw I’d try to start assigning art in the next week or two.
UPDATE: Robotech® the New Generation™ Sourcebook. We submitted a cover sketch to Harmony Gold on Monday and I hope to do a comprehensive read of the manuscript and start assigning interior artwork in a couple weeks. I just want to get Thundercloud Galaxy™ finished first.
UPDATE: Other books. I’ll be working on Rifts® Vampires Sourcebook and Rifts® Megaverse® in Flames in short order as well, as we try to maintain our promise of at least one new title per month.
UPDATE: Gen Con Indy – August 4-7, 2011. We reserved our hotel rooms on Wednesday and are waiting to find out our booth location. We’re starting to get excited about attending already. Sheesh, what a bunch of fan boys we are.
UPDATE: The Palladium Creators’ Conference – April 7-10. My thanks to the many freelancers making and effort to attend. Please reserve your hotel room as soon as possible (same Hotel as the one used for the Palladium Open House). We’re anticipating 25-35 creators participating in the event. Sorry, this unique gathering is not open to the public. Ah, but you will reap the rewards from this unprecedented event via the products and ideas that will come from it.
UPDATE: Online sales. Sales remain up and down. We know from experience that many of those planning to re-subscribe to The Rifter® wait till the last few days and I’m pleased to report that sales for Armageddon Unlimited™ have been excellent, with orders for it continuing to come in every day! Check out the sneak peek.
UPDATE: Alex Marciniszyn. As most of you know, the home where Alex Marciniszyn lived with his elderly mother, sister, brother-in-law, and young nieces caught fire and is unsuitable for habitation. At this time, the family is scattered among friends and other family members who have taken them in. The person responsible for maintaining the house insurance failed to keep the policy in place, so the family home (paid in full) is a complete loss. I’ve been helping Alex and the family try to acquire a location to live in and deal with other, related issues.
After hearing about this tragedy, Maryann Garner (yes, the ex-Mrs. Siembieda) started a movement online to help Alex and his family. Since then, Alex has received some helpful donations of money via Pay Pal and a few checks in the mail (my brother was kind enough to send $100). Others have offered some furniture and other assistance. Many others have offered kind words and prayers, all are appreciated. My thanks to everyone for your kindness and concern for Alex in this difficult time.
Kathy Simmons, Queen of Ghouls continues to work on new Halloween creations, but the snow and frightful cold weather (her workshop is in an unheated garage) have slowed her down the past few weeks. You can see her creations in her online store (queenofghouls.com).
Other goings-on. Enthusiasm is running high and ideas are flying fast and furious. I have big plans for Palladium Books and there has been a lot going on behind the scenes. As I’ve said in previous Weekly Updates, since my father’s death I have enjoyed a newfound sense of clarity, focus and energy – as if my Dad (and Mom, and Erick) are giving me renewed energy and ideas. I haven’t been this motivated and driven since the Crisis of Treachery.
My plan: To get Palladium back to being a major, viable force in gaming and healthy as an ox within in one year and grow the company from there. There are plans for reorganizing the company, new books, new games, ancillary products, licensing, marketing and advertising, the new website, new online projects, and much more. The Creators Conference we’re hosting in April should be the official kick off to the rebirth of Palladium Books. Most of it is grass-roots operations to quickly rebuild and grow the company, but there have been some inquiries from the outside world. A potential licensing partner has surfaced though it is waaaaay too soon to tell where that may go. Someone has inquired about buying into the company and helping us grow it, and there other rumblings I can’t talk about yet. Palladium also considered picking up a new license for role-playing games and did some preliminary research, but upon further consideration, we think we will pass on it.
Whew, talk about a whirlwind. I’ve logged something like 70 hours on the phone over the last two weeks. Crazy. But exciting. Now I NEED to get back to getting books finished and to the printer.

Kevin Siembieda is reorganizing, tweaking, expanding and updating one of the most popular Rifts® World Books ever published: Vampire Kingdoms™. This will include some new artwork and an expanded page count. The book will be updated and expanded in much the same way as Kevin did with Rifts® Sourcebook One a few years ago. Best of all, it will be accompanied by the Rifts® Vampires Sourcebook™.
Trouble is stirring in the Vampire Kingdoms as ambitious vampire lords, ladies and misanthropes seek to expand their power to dominate more mortal life forms.
Written by Kevin Siembieda and a handpicked selection of other writers, this sourcebook explores the vampires of Mexico and their kingdoms in ways you never imagined. Tons of new data, adventure ideas and revelations.
This Robotech® sourcebook will be an early 2011 release.
At last, the underwater realm of Lemuria. The people and history of Lemuria, new magic, sea herbs and healing, sea monsters, and more.
The Minion War spills across Rifts Earth, where demons and infernals hope to recruit allies and use the Rifts as gateways of destruction. Their influence shakes things up across the planet, especially at locations where demons and Deevils already have a strong presence. More details to follow, but for now, ‘nuff said.
Data about the chaos and madness of the early days of the Great Cataclysm, and the brave men and women who tried to stem the tide of destruction and save lives, the First Responders.
A comprehensive overview of Canada, including notable places, cities, towns, people, O.C.C.s, monsters and conflicts. Much of Canada has reverted to wilderness, but there are pockets of civilization and technology, though not all of them human.
The focus of Dark Conversions™ is on creatures of darkness and other monsters such as Alien Intelligences, Elementals, were-beasts, vampires, weird supernatural beings, the Nightbane and others. If you are looking for practitioners of dark magic, villains, monsters and vile horrors to pit against your heroes, this is the sourcebook for you. Many creatures also have notes on how they fit into the Rifts Earth setting and where they may be encountered.
A complete role-playing game set in a unique realm of high fantasy and epic adventure that has thrilled fans for 27 years. All the fantasy elements you’d expect are there, but spun in ways that you may not expect. Magic has replaced science. The elder races of Dwarves, Elves and Titans have given way to the rise of humanity and the Wolfen Empire. While the monster races – Goblins, Orcs, Ogres and Trolls – lay claim to the Old Kingdom, from which they launch their pillaging raids. And that’s just the beginning.
The ultimate Rifts® reference and sourcebook, it contains all the weapons, equipment, body armor, power armor, robots, vehicles, skills and psionics from Rifts® World Books 1-23, Sourcebooks 1-4, and Siege on Tolkeen 1-6, collected into one big reference. Plus, maps, lists and indexes of O.C.C.s, R.C.C.s, experience tables and more.
A compendium of bionic and cybernetic systems in the Rifts North America setting, with information about partial and full conversion cyborgs, Headhunters, City Rats, the Cyber-Doc and more. A must-have resource for fans of cyborgs.
The New German Republic (NGR) is surrounded and besieged by the hostile Gargoyle Empire – an empire of giant monsters. Only the superior robotics and weapons technology of Triax keeps the monsters at bay, but for how long? This epic World Book presents the Triax robots, power armor, cyborgs, and world setting that is Rifts Germany and the surrounding region. More than 100,000 copies sold!
Note: For dozens of new weapons, armor, robots, drones, power armor suits, cyborgs, vehicles and updated information about the NGR, Triax and the war, see Rifts® World Book 31: Triax™ 2 – 192 pages – $24.95 – Cat. No. 881.
There is no place on Rifts Earth more exotic, magical and dangerous than China, especially since the Hell of the Yama Kings has bled into the mortal plane.
Note: For 18 new O.C.C.s, heroes of the Celestial Court, Geofront, secret technology, mystical powers, Demon Wrestling, Demon Quelling, Chi Weapons, martial arts and more, see Rifts® World Book 25: Rifts® China 2 – 160 pages – $20.95 – Cat. No. 858.

Start planning for Halloween early as Palladium’s very own Kathy Simmons will start to offer her 2011 selection of life-sized Halloween props (most are 6 feet or taller) that are to die for.
Each is an all-weather, life-sized Halloween prop that can handle rain and snow, and is a one-of-a-kind work of art (no two are exactly the same). Each looks frighteningly “real.” All come apart and fold down to slightly larger than a king-size pillow for easy storage. Comes with easy instructions, a plastic storage bag, and the lawn stake to stand it up in your front yard. Indoor stand sold separately.
Types of “Ghouls” include: Zombies (all kinds!), killer clowns, wizards, witches, devils, grave ghouls, scarecrows, executioners, mad doctors, deadly nurses, vampires, werewolves, and more. Kathy’s also now offering an array of hand-painted Halloween signs, signs with heads and bodies hanging from them, witch’s brewing pots, Halloween centerpieces and more. Best of all, her high quality creations are much more affordable and imaginative than most competitors or mass produced items in a store, making them affordable Halloween fun.
If you think the photos online look good, you should see them in person. A typical “ghoul,” as she calls her creations, costs $99-$179. You can see some of her work at her Queen of Ghouls™ Ebay store – queenofghouls.com.
