This is it.
Your final weekend to place orders for books, T-Shirts, coffee mugs, Christmas Surprise Packages, etc., and still get them in time for Christmas.
We’re posting this Weekly Update a day early to let you know that ALL orders received today and overnight WILL SHIP FRIDAY.
Likewise, we will process Christmas Surprise Packages and other orders throughout the weekend so they can SHIP ON MONDAY.
Click here for more information and to place an order.
The Palladium staff is ready to pull out all the stops and work overtime to make sure YOU get your Christmas orders in time. But YOU need to place those orders TODAY and OVER THE WEEKEND!
UPS Ground and Priority Mail shipped on FRIDAY will arrive to those of you living east of the Mississippi River by December 23 or 24. Even those of you living out west should get your package by December 23 or on Christmas Eve, but we can NOT guarantee it. Sorry.
UPS Ground and Priority Mail shipped on MONDAY will arrive to those of you living east of the Mississippi River by December 23 or 24. Those of you living out west will need to order via 3-Day, 2nd Day UPS or Express Mail (next day) to guarantee delivery by December 23 or on Christmas Eve, and we still cannot absolutely guarantee delivery before Christmas, but you should get it no problem.
After Monday all bets are off on UPS Ground and Priority Mail. Only faster means of delivery have any certainty of arriving before Christmas.
Please Note: The above delivery dates ONLY apply if your credit card goes through without a problem, your address is complete and correct, and you send us a clear “Wish List” with 8-12 currently available products. Problems and delays could prevent your order arriving before Christmas. Also note that original artwork is still available on a limited basis, and may or may not be granted, so do not list only artwork as a want.
Orders for the Christmas Surprise Package will be accepted through December 23, 2010, but the order will not arrive until AFTER Christmas. Still, it’s great for birthday presents, anniversaries or late Christmas presents (or just to get for yourself).
Will the 2010 “Christmas” Surprise Packages be extended beyond Christmas? We usually extend the Surprise Package offer for a short while after Christmas. We have found that a certain number of fans can’t afford to buy a Surprise Package until after Christmas. For some, they don’t have money to buy for themselves until after they’ve bought gifts for everyone else. For others, they need to wait until they get some money as a gift, and for some, they just wait until the last minute.
It has been suggested to me that in these tough economic times, nobody would expect Palladium to extend the Surprise Package offer past Christmas. On the other hand, that’s exactly why Palladium should extend the offer. Times are tough. Folks need a break. Palladium fans have stuck by Palladium through thick and thin. Hmmm, I haven’t decided yet, but will give it serious thought and let you know in next week’s Weekly Update.
It has been another super-busy week, though not quite as insane as the last one. I’ve been mostly dealing with business, processing orders, signing books – lots and lots of books – and dealing with Christmas.
The Palladium office party is this evening and everyone is looking forward to it.
Back in print soon. Wayne and I have been busy making minor tweaks and changes to the back covers of some of the hot books coming back into stock. The following four titles go to the printer tomorrow and should be back in stock the first week of January:
Rifts® Game Master Guide
Rifts® Dark Conversions™
Rifts® Canada
The Palladium Fantasy RPG® (fewer than a dozen copies of the current press run remain, and we don’t want this popular core book out of print for more than a week or two).
Other titles slated for reprinting in the weeks to come:
Rifts® China One
Rifts® Bionics Sourcebook
Rifts® World Book 5: Triax & The NGR
Rifts® Book of Magic
Chaos Earth™: Rise of Magic™
UPDATE: Facebook. I’m afraid I’ve been soooo busy I have not had a chance to post on Facebook this week, but I plan to this weekend. Meanwhile, folks are enjoying the page. Check it out and join the fun.
UPDATE: Online Sales. Sales remain strong. Keep those orders coming.
UPDATE: The Rifter® #53. Artwork for the book should start coming in soon. Wayne and Alex will be in working on it over the weekend. January 2011 release. It’s a great issue!
UPDATE: Armageddon Unlimited™. I’ll be in the office over the weekend trying to finish the book up and get it to the printer before Christmas. January 2011 release.
UPDATE: Thundercloud Galaxy™. I think artist Mike Mumah has only one or two piece of art to finish. It’s the next book I jump into.
Thanks again. I again want to thank everyone continuing to send their condolences and well wishes about my father’s passing, praise for our work, kind words about the Palladium crew and me, and high hopes about the future of Palladium. They are very appreciated.
I can tell you we have some bold plans for 2011. I’ll write about them in our New Year’s Eve Weekly Update. Meanwhile, finish your shopping, enjoy the holidays, keep those imaginations burning bright and game, game, game.
– Kevin Siembieda, Publisher
If you want to order a Christmas Surprise Package and get it in time for Christmas – you only have today, Friday and the weekend to do so. After that, most of you will have to pay extra for an expedited delivery service. As Kevin noted above, you can avoid that by placing your orders TODAY through the WEEKEND. Orders in our hand by Monday morning should get to most people before Christmas without having to pay for faster shipping. Getting us those orders by FRIDAY morning (December 17) is even better. The following should give you the information you need based upon where you live.
Canada and other countries. Sorry, we can not guarantee delivery before Christmas no matter what shipping method you use. It would have to be an Express service to have a chance.
The following applies to UPS orders being sent in the contiguous United States:
UPS Ground: Delivering east of the Mississippi River takes THREE DAYS to arrive (many Mid-West and Eastern locations only take 2 days). Thus, orders placed no later than Sunday and in our hands by Monday morning (before 6:00 AM) should arrive by December 23 or December 24, 2010. HOWEVER, we cannot absolutely guarantee that delivery.
Orders placed TONIGHT (Thursday, December 16) and shipping on Friday WILL arrive by December 23, assuming there are no unexpected delays or problems. There is some risk.
UPS Ground: West of the Mississippi River takes 4-5 days – the West Coast takes FIVE days. That’s “business” days; do not include weekends. If you place your order TONIGHT (Thursday, December 16) and it ships Friday, it SHOULD arrive by December 24, assuming there are no unexpected delays or problems. There is some risk.
If you need the order before Christmas, we suggest UPS 3-Day or 2-Day delivery.
UPS 3-Day. If you place your order TONIGHT (Thursday, December 16) and it ships Friday, it WILL arrive by December 22, assuming there are no unexpected delays or problems.
If you place your order FRIDAY NIGHT OR OVER THE WEEKEND and it ships Friday, it WILL arrive by December 23 OR December 24, assuming there are no unexpected delays or problems.
UPS 2-Day. You can order as late as Tuesday and if your order ships on Wednesday, you SHOULD have it by Christmas Eve, December 24, assuming there are no unexpected delays or problems. There is some risk.
Express Mail. This is next day delivery, but you must order no later than Tuesday for delivery by December 23 or December 24, assuming there are no unexpected delays or problems. There is some risk.
Priority Mail – December 20. It takes 2-3 days to locations in the United States, but with the holidays could take a day longer. No guarantee but many should arrive by December 23 or December 24, assuming there are no unexpected delays or problems. There is some risk.
First Class or Parcel Post. It takes 3-7 days to arrive at most locations in the United States. This method of shipping is NOT likely to arrive in time for Christmas. High risk.
Media Mail. This method of shipping will NOT arrive in time for Christmas. Media Mail takes 5-14 days to deliver, but our experience at holiday time has seen packages take 7-40 days. Order via Media Mail entirely at YOUR OWN RISK. Media Mail orders that go missing will not be replaced by Palladium Books.
In case you still don’t know what the Palladium Christmas Surprise Package is: It’s the best bargain anywhere. Palladium RPGs, books, and other products at low prices, plus autographs and surprises!
PLEASE make sure you provide a “wish list” of 8-12 currently available items (RPGs, sourcebooks, T-shirts, coffee mugs, prints, original artwork, and other stuff) or you may be disappointed.
PLEASE list only items you want. Do NOT list items you already have because it may cause confusion and you could be sent items you own instead of items you want.
A Palladium tradition! We’ve been doing the Christmas Surprise Package for 12 or 13 years now. It’s our way of saying thank you to our fans and making gamers around the world smile. Offer ends December 23, 2010. Spread the word. Let your gaming buddies know, and take advantage of this great deal. Word of mouth is the main source of advertising for this great holiday gift offer.

T.K. in Copperas, Texas, writes: Sir, my favorite game has to be Palladium Fantasy®. I got into Palladium about 10 years ago. We have had a lot of great adventures over the years. Next was Rifts Earth. I have enjoyed exploring new landscapes with each and every campaign, and was extremely thrilled with the Siege on Tolkeen series. Both sides of the war. I am just starting to get into Phase World® and the Three Galaxies™ . . . I would like to thank you and your entire crew for what you’ve done with the Palladium Megaverse. . . have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
T.B. in Bellevue, Ohio, writes: Thanks for making a kickass RPG. I especially love how you take all the genres and make them usable with each other. You are doing good work!
D.K. in Romulus, Michigan, writes: Hard to suggest anything when the product is near perfect (more Chaos Earth™, please). You guys have done an amazing job and I believe that you will continue to do so as the stories leap from your minds and into my hands. Thank you for making so many amazing games and for enriching my imagination all these years.
J.C. in Lewisville, Texas, writes: I have loved you guys since I was a little boy. Your books and your worlds have brought me countless hours of happiness. Some of my best memories right out of high school were staying up all night, playing Rifts® until the sun came up with my half-dozen or so friends. The best friends I will ever have. We played some epic games that we still retell for the hundredth time and are just as memorable as the first time. Those were wonderful times and I will always remember your company for making those long nights happen. Thank you so very much.
M.U. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, writes: The first RPG I ever played was Erick’s TMNT® and Other Strangeness™, and to this day you guys still have my favorite gaming systems. Even though as a truck driver I don’t get to game much anymore, I still love to read your books, above pretty much all the others on the market. In fact, your books are the only ones I still purchase . . .
M.S. in Tenafly, New Jersey, writes: Focus on releasing products on time. Nothing makes gamers happier than being able to pay for products at their release date.
J.E. in Charlottesville, Virginia, writes: I’ve been working on making my own table top RPG and . . . have to say it has helped me realize the amount of work and creativity you guys have put into these books!
C.P. in Oak Forest, Illinois, writes: Thanks for offering the X-Mas Surprise Package again this year. It’s something I always look forward to and one of the reasons I remain a loyal Palladium fan.
E.O. in Houston, Texas, writes: I was introduced to Palladium via Rifts® in 1992 at a gaming convention. All they had was the Rifts® main book, but it was love at first sight. Within the year I had converted both my AD&D and Star Wars gaming groups to Rifts®, and there was no looking back. My group is a huge fan of Phase World®, but we have never played it without a Rifts® connection, though I’m interested in doing so if given the chance. . . I can’t imagine a world without Palladium Books®.
M.D. in Grand Haven, Michigan, writes: You people have always been great about the Surprise Packages. This is my 3rd year ordering one. I’m now starting to get the next generation into role-playing, our kids are 10 and 8.
M.G. in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, writes: Your games have given me a lot of fun and great memories over the years. Some of the best times in my life have been playing your games. I have been playing ever since my friend Al introduced me to Rifts® in 1994. . . Life can be hard and to have a moment of fun and adventure with my friends is priceless. Thank you very much. Keep doing what you love to do.
The Rifter® is your doorway to unlimited imagination and numerous Palladium role-playing worlds. It offers new heroes, powers, weapons, magic and adventure for your games. It presents new villains, monsters and dangers to battle, and new ideas to consider.
The Rifter® #53 includes:
Only you can save the world!
Armageddon Unlimited™ is the ultimate good vs evil setting and adventure. The fate of the world hangs in the balance and only you can stop its destruction.
The bad guys? Super-villain maniacs being manipulated by supernatural evil straight from Hell.
If evil triumphs, the world is destroyed and your heroes and billions of innocent people die.
The world-saving scenario in this book can be repeated in any setting and game environment from Nightbane® or Ninjas & Superspies™ to Palladium Fantasy RPG®, Rifts® and Phase World®. Only the details of the location, the heroes and their powers change. The villains remain the Deevils (or alternately, the demons) as they continue their bloodthirsty war to destroy each other. The worlds of mortals are their battlefields and mortals little more than pawns, henchmen and collateral damage.
Stop the madness before it is too late! If you can.
But that’s not all. Armageddon Unlimited™ is an epic sourcebook with tons of new powers, magic, weapons and Power Categories that can be incorporated into any Heroes Unlimited campaign.
Thundercloud Galaxy™ is the perfect companion to Rifts® Dimensional Outbreak™ to expand one’s gaming Megaverse in the Three Galaxies. History, aliens, weapons, spacecraft, and adventure in a galaxy far, far away.
Kevin Siembieda is reorganizing, tweaking, expanding and updating one of the most popular Rifts® World Books ever published: Vampire Kingdoms™. This will include some new artwork and an expanded page count. The book will be updated and expanded in much the same way as Kevin did with Rifts® Sourcebook One a few years ago. Best of all, it will be accompanied by the Rifts® Vampires Sourcebook™.
Trouble is stirring in the Vampire Kingdoms as ambitious vampire lords, ladies and misanthropes seek to expand their power to dominate more mortal life forms.
Written by Kevin Siembieda and a handpicked selection of other writers, this sourcebook explores the vampires of Mexico and their kingdoms in ways you never imagined. Tons of new data, adventure ideas and revelations.
This Robotech® sourcebook will be an early 2011 release.
At last, the underwater realm of Lemuria. The people and history of Lemuria, new magic, sea herbs and healing, sea monsters, and more.
The Minion War spills across Rifts Earth, where demons and infernals hope to recruit allies and use the Rifts as gateways of destruction. Their influence shakes things up across the planet, especially at locations where demons and Deevils already have a strong presence. More details to follow, but for now, ‘nuff said.
Data about the chaos and madness of the early days of the Great Cataclysm, and the brave men and women who tried to stem the tide of destruction and save lives, the First Responders.
White printing on a big, glossy black, 15.5 ounce coffee mug. Looks cool and is a fan favorite.

If you have a hankering to fight zombies, but also enjoy stories of human survival and triumph in a post-apocalyptic world, then you want to play Dead Reign™.
Dead Reign™ captures the fun and horror of the zombie apocalypse exactly the way you love it. The dead have risen, civilization has crumbled, and brave human survivors refuse to lie down and die! They battle the walking dead on all fronts, watch each other’s backs, struggle to forge safe havens away from the zombie infested cities, rescue other survivors, and fight without respite.
This sourcebook explores what happens when civilization is literally gone overnight, and the sole survivors are you and a few billion zombies!
When there is no place to hide and the dead are everywhere, where do you go? Who can you turn to? What happens next? What lurks in dark places?
The Book of Heroes is an ancient magic tome that empowers those with the potential for greatness. (Your player character?) In times of fear and darkness the Book is said to appear to make sure the forces of evil don’t get the upper hand. The Minion War™ is such a dark time as the forces of Hell ripple across the Megaverse bringing death and destruction. Are the legends true? Is there a magic book that inspires and empowers new heroes to rise up and make a difference when they are needed most?
The New German Republic splinters the Gargoyle Empire and battles to crush them once and for all.
The epic scale of the Minion War just got bigger and even the United Worlds of Warlock, the Splugorth and Naruni Enterprises are reeling from it. The story hooks are endless.
