It’s the Fourth of July holiday weekend here in the States, so I’m gonna keep this update brief.
It’s CHRISTMAS IN JULY! Orders have been pouring in, which is smart, because you only have roughly 3 weeks to take advantage of Palladium’s special Christmas in July Grab Bag offer. Get autographs and piles of books, prints, T-shirts and other good stuff at a great low price. Think gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and, well, Christmas. Fill holes in your collection, or get that item you’ve been thinking about but been waiting to buy. Of course, I try to make each and every one of them special.
A perk for you early birds: Although the Christmas in July Grab Bag offer is “officially” from July 1 to July 25, 2010, we’ve been busy selecting, pulling, signing, packing, and shipping orders as they’ve come in. That means your Christmas in July Grab Bags are already on their way to you. Every order we received as of 7:00 AM Friday morning has shipped from the Palladium warehouse. As always, Media Mail is likely to be the slowest method of delivery, but other methods of shipping should get your Grab Bag into your hands shortly.
UPDATE: Palladium Auctions. The last auction was fun and went well. There were a lot of last day bids and excitement. A lot of people walked away with bargains or hot collectibles.

UPDATE: The Rifter® #51 is at the printer. This is yet another great issue. Heck, it is worth it for the great source material and art for Splicers and juicy section of “official” weapons, gear and cyborgs for the Rifts Triax 2 setting. But as they say on those TV infomercials, “there’s more” – Game Master tips, more optional Rifts vehicle construction rules, the Wolf Blood, the latest chapter of the Hammer of the Forge, news and fun.
UPDATE: Rifts® Heroes of the Megaverse®. I’ve been writing away on Heroes of the Megaverse® and loving what’s hitting the page. I think you will, too. You are going to love it. As you know the cover and interior artwork is already done. I will be working on it ALL weekend with the hopes of getting it to the printer by the end of next week. I think you’re going to love it.
UPDATE: Armageddon Unlimited™ (for Heroes Unlimited™ and ties into the Minion War™) is next on my plate. The cover sketch by Mark Evans came in and looks great! I expect to be assigning the interior artwork in the next week or two.
UPDATE: Rifts® Thundercloud Galaxy™. John Zeleznik is still waiting for the cover description (sorry for the delay, John), and I need to get more art descriptions out for illustrations. Busy, busy week and still not enough hours in a day. :)
UPDATE: Rifts® Lemuria. Work on this title continues to move forward. Johnny Z wants to do the cover of this book too, but I don’t know if we want to delay its release to accommodate John’s schedule. We’ll see.
UPDATE: Rifts® Vampire Kingdoms™. I can hardly wait to start tweaking and expanding this book. I’ve got so many ideas for this book (and the sourcebook). There was a delay in getting the cover, but we should have it next week.
UPDATE: Rifts® Vampire Sourcebook™. As noted above, I have a zillion ideas for this sourcebook. It’s going to be epic! The cover for this book is in and it looks great. I plan to jump from one book to the next in rapid succession to get you the books we promised you.
UPDATE: Robotech®. I spoke with Tommy this week and we are plotting the material for the next couple of books. Count on seeing an epic Robotech®: New Generation Sourcebook this Fall. And more? We’ll see.
The Minion War™ Continues: Rifts® Dimensional Outbreak™ was just the first, epic book in the Minion War to be released this year. We still plan to wrap up the main saga of the Minion War™ sweeping across the Megaverse by the end of 2010. The remaining three books in the series are:
Heroes of the Megaverse® – suitable for use in any setting, from Phase World® to Rifts Earth, to Heroes Unlimited™ and BTS-2, to Palladium Fantasy®.
Armageddon Unlimited™ – for the Heroes Unlimited™ setting; superheroes versus demons and Deevils.
Rifts® Megaverse® in Flames™ – Just wait till you see how Rifts Earth is affected.
And the ripples from the Minion War™ will continue to be felt for a long time to come.
UPDATE: Henry Siembieda. I’m sorry to report that my father’s bladder cancer has returned with a vengeance. We’re waiting to get test results to see if the cancer has spread to other organs and tissue (we’re hopeful that it has not). Should know something by middle of next week. If it has not spread, the doctors are planning to remove my Dad’s bladder and, hopefully in so doing, remove the cancer.
I spent extra time with Dad and Arlene this past Wednesday. He was pretty scared, worried and a bit down – but not horribly down. I got him smiling and laughing in pretty short order and we had a nice visit. The waiting to hear the results of the test is murder for my Dad in particular. For me, it’s feeling so helpless. All you can do is be there for him, be positive and pray for the best. Whatever happens and however long he’s got (months or years, we don’t know yet), I just don’t want him to suffer. Sorry about the bad news on a holiday weekend.
Kathy Simmons’ Halloween Props. Kathy’s working all weekend on creating a new gaggle of her one-of-a-kind, life-size Halloween props. She’s hoping to make two a day. I’m sure more will go up on her online store (queenofghouls.com) over the weekend.

Kathy Simmons’ Halloween Props are life-like and amazing. What many people don’t know is, behind that facade of sweetness, Kathy has a dark side. It comes out as her alter ego, the Queen of Ghouls, Mistress of Halloween.
The Queen of Ghouls makes one-of-a-kind, life-size Halloween props from masks, PVC pipe and fabric. Think “life-sized action figures” and you get the idea. They are awesome. Kathy sews most of the costumes/clothing, though some – particularly her epic zombies – are garbed in clothing acquired at garage sales and the Salvation Army then tattered and bloodied up with paint.
The life-sized Halloween props come with a large, metal lawn stake so they can be stood up in the front yard to scare, thrill and delight Halloween goers. They hold up great in the worst weather and once dried out from October rain showers, they can be broken down to be stored in the bag or box they are shipped in.

I get into the act by painting up some of the masks, hands and clothing (I’m a blood splatter specialist at this point) and helping Kathy tatter up zombie clothes. Hey, Halloween is only three months away!
