* If you’ve never ordered a Surprise Package before, give it a try early, because you’ll be blown away and probably want to order a few more! It happens all the time. We love putting smiles on your faces.

How to Place your Order

* Cost: $60 US Dollars + shipping to get $100 (or more) worth of Palladium goodies. Just make sure you send us a long Wish List. Kevin likes to make gamers smile and blow people’s minds.

* Placing Orders Online is the fastest and easiest way to order. Ordering online allows you to select the desired method of shipping. We recommend UPS because it is fast, reliable, insured, and has reliable tracking capabilities. Multiple orders will result in duplication.

REMINDER, this is a “Surprise” Package. While Kevin Siembieda and the Palladium staff personally TRY to make each and every Surprise Package special, we cannot guarantee satisfaction. It is a “Grab Bag.” Buyers may not always be satisfied (although we seem to succeed with most). Purchasing multiple Surprise Packages will likely result in multiple duplicate items. Slight Damage: Some books used in the Surprise Packages may show slight damage such as a bent corner, scuffs, nicks, dings, dents, dirt smudge, wear, a scratch, crushed corner, etc., so we can send you MORE product. Of course, we cannot control damage that may occur in the mail/shipping (Media Mail being the worst in that regard), but we ship everything in a well packed cardboard box or tube. Please let us know if you don’t mind damaged books and we may be able to add even more items to your Grab Bag!

Select the Method of Shipping

Media Mail is least expensive (around $12 per Surprise Package), but it is a less reliable and slower, low priority, classification of USA mail. Our experience is that it take 8-18 days during the holiday season for a package to arrive. When shipping via Media Mail we recommend placing holiday gift orders as early as possible to guarantee its arrival in time for Christmas. WARNING: Use Media Mail at your own risk! If lost or damaged in transit, Palladium will NOT replace the contents when shipped by Media Mail. Make sure your address is correct.

UPS Ground is reliable, insured, and fast. The last 2 years UPS was astonishing, but it is more expensive than Media Mail. UPS Ground packages arrive to ALL states, except Alaska and Hawaii, in 3-5 business days; 2-3 days to locations east of the Mississippi River. UPS cannot ship to a P.O. Box, so please provide a street address.

WARNING 1: Palladium is NOT responsible for loss if you give us an incorrect or incomplete address, or if you MOVE before the Christmas Surprise Package/Grab Bag arrives. The loss is yours. DO NOT FORGET to include your APARTMENT NUMBER! Note: Rare books and one-of-a-kind items like prints and gold editions CANNOT be replaced if lost or damaged in the mail.

WARNING 2: Palladium is NOT responsible for loss or damage when you select Media Mail as your shipping method. We recommend UPS (especially in the USA) or another method of shipping via the United States Postal Service (USPS) like Priority Mail rather than Media Mail, especially if fast delivery time is important. The risk and the loss is 100% YOURS when you ship via Media Mail, and lost packages or damaged items sent via Media Mail WILL NOT be replaced.

Live outside the USA? The X-Mas Surprise Package is a great way to get books at a good price. You are able to offset the high shipping costs from the USA, by getting $100 – often more – worth of product and only paying $60 US Dollars for the books. Shipping via Priority Mail International (required for packages weighing more than four pounds) to most locations in Canada, the EU, the UK, and many other countries should be around $75-$90 US Dollars. HOWEVER, because the cost of the product is so low, it mitigates the shipping cost. It’s like paying full price for the books and only $20-$40 for shipping. A very good deal. Plus you get autographs if you want them!

X-Mas Surprise Packages are the way to go for those of you outside the USA. Please use it to get all the products you’ve been wanting except the shipping has been prohibitive. Please Note: We feel your pain regarding the high cost of shipping. We are not Amazon. We do not get the massive discounts that multi-billion dollar company receives. We only pass along the cost of your chosen shipping method. Plus, we always try to make the orders going to countries outside of North America extra special to make up for the shipping cost. For most of you, this is the only way you’ll ever be able to get autographed books, limited edition prints, artwork or unique items, so we’re happy to have this opportunity to show how much we appreciate you.

How to Make Your “Wish List”

The Palladium Surprise Packages are designed to simulate the fun, joy and surprise of the Christmas Season of Giving.

* Send a “Wish List” of 12-15 Palladium products (or more) you would like for the holidays, from which Kevin will select $100 (sometimes more) worth of product. Depending on the cost or value of the books selected from your list, that’s typically 4-6 books for only $60 plus shipping.

* List product you know are in stock and available in the online store. Don’t ask for product that is out of print or not yet published, like Rifts® Bestiary Two, or Beyond Arcanum, or TMNT products. PLEASE give us a long Wish List and fill out the questions. It all helps us make your Surprise Package something you will enjoy.

* We suggest you list product in the order of preference starting with your most wanted. You might even want to number them 1-15.

* List only what you WANT. Do not list books you already have.

* If you do NOT want to be considered for a T-shirt, please write “No T-shirts.” If you DO WANT to be considered for a T-shirt, please make sure to give us your SIZE.

* You can ask for recent releases like Yin-Sloth Jungles (Expanded), BTS Creature Feature, Rifts® Coalition Manhunters™, Titan Robotics, Cyberworks Collection hardcover, Rifts® 30th Commemorative Hardcover ($60 value), and other hardcovers, as well as the Lopan™ and South Winds™ Raw Previews, miniatures, art prints, T-shirts, mugs, as well as long-standing RPGs and sourcebooks that are in stock. * Hardcover Editions Special Consideration: Hardcovers cost much more to print and the numbers available are limited for the Surprise Package. Hardcovers that have a retail price of $36.99-$46.99 have a value of $50 – so two hardcovers would equal the full value of your Surprise Package (and would be all you get). The $49.99 Rifts® 30th Commemorative Hardcover, Cyberworks Collection, and other hardcovers with a $49.99 to $55 retail price have a value of $60 for the Surprise Package. Only people who request a specific hardcover will be considered to receive one.

* Super-limited edition Kickstarter Exclusive Hardcovers: You may request a signed Titan Robotics hardcovers (one has a color cover and one is gold foil), and the equally rare and limited Cyberworks Collection “Gold” foil hardcover! In fact, the Surprise Package is one of the few ways to still get these Kickstarter exclusives! HOWEVER, each has an $80 value because they are super-limited Collector’s Editions no longer generally available to the public. Kevin Siembieda often adds his famous Dragon’s Head sketch inside the book. Note: Each had fewer that 300 copies printed and most were sent to backers. You must ask for one to be considered for one, so list other items. Good luck, only a few dozen people will receive any of these collector items.

* When ordering MULTIPLE Surprise Packages send us a different Wish List for EACH Surprise Package you order. Note: Ordering multiple Surprise Packages is likely to result in some duplication. If you get duplicate items, give them away to your friends, a library, charity, or game store, or sell them online. Multiple orders WILL result in some duplication.

* Kev and his elves are NOT mind readers. Please give provide clear details of what you want (Wish List of available items) or you may be disappointed by what comes in your Surprise Package and may receive items you already own or don’t want. You do NOT make our job easier when you say something like “I own everything, surprise me,” or “I don’t care, anything special.” It makes our job much, much more difficult. We want to make each Grab Bag special, but because we don’t know you or what books you own, like, or want, we do not have a clue as to what to send you unless you give us a variety of items on your list.

Please say something like this: “I own it all, but would love any duplicate Fantasy books signed by the Palladium crew.” Or “I have most of it, surprise me with T-shirts or unique items like signed art prints, or a coffee mug, if available,” and so on. For BEST RESULTS: List 12-15 specific items on your wish list for each Grab Bag you order.

* Autographs from Kevin Siembieda, available staff and freelance artists and writers. If you “request” autographs we’ll sign EVERY book in your box! For many, especially those of you across the country and overseas, this is the only way you are likely to get autographs from Kevin, Sean, and crew. Take advantage of it. Many people find autographs make the items that much more special and valuable, and we are happy to oblige. There is no charge for this service.

* Dragonhead Sketch by Kevin Siembieda. Kevin is always happy to draw and sign one of his trademark “dragonhead” sketches (each one slightly different) on a separate, 8½ x 11 inch sheet of paper or board upon request. $20 value. He also randomly includes such a sketch as a surprise in some of the books at no extra charge. Ho, ho, ho.

* No original art or sketches by Palladium artists this year. Sorry, there is no artwork available this year, but you can ask for any of our color or black and white “prints.” Original art is donated by the artists and with more and more of them moving to the digital medium, we have no art to surprise you with this year. * One-of-a-kind book negatives resemble woodcut art and are very dynamic conversation pieces. Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. The plastic film negatives were then “ganged” on a massive sheet of Mylar, 16 pages per big sheet, and printing plates were made from the negatives. Each negative comes signed by Kevin Siembieda on a white board inside a plastic magazine bag and looks great framed! Fits in an 8x10 inch matt opening in a frame (each neg is roughly 8½ x 11 inches). Sorry, you cannot request a negative from a specific book. Right now we have negatives available from a few Rifts® titles. Value ranges from $2-$50 depending on the book and the artwork that may appear on it.

* Art: Dragonhead Sketch by Kevin Siembieda. Kevin is always happy to draw one of his trademark “dragonhead” sketches – with our without a Santa hat (each one slightly different) on a separate sheet of card stock paper upon request. $20 value. Only people who request a dragon head sketch will be considered. He may also randomly include this sketch in some books or as a fun surprise at no extra charge.

* Sorry, no original art by other artists available this year. Original art is donated by the artists and with more and more of them moving to the digital medium, we have no art to surprise you with this year. We hope you understand.

What these low numbered, signed print sets are worth today or in the future is difficult to say. Estimated value $60.
