The Palladium Open House is an increasingly rare event. The last one was held in 2012. It is also limited, as we can only accommodate around 350 people total – including 30-50 Palladium creators and staff. By the way, that’s more creators assembled in on place than any game convention we have ever attended.

The Palladium Open House (POH) is unlike anything you have ever attended. It is more like a big family reunion or 3-4 day party than a game convention. It has a friendly, family feel, Kevin Siembieda and all the Palladium creators are present the entire time and it’s three days (four for those attending VIP Thursday) of gaming, laughter and wonderful memories. People talk about the Open House they attend for years, and people come from around the world. The last POH was in 2012. We don’t know when the next one may be. Join the fun while you can.

The Palladium Open House (POH) is not a game convention. It is a gathering of friends who spend the weekend playing Palladium role-playing games, telling stories, laughing and having fun. Seriously, the POH is more like a family reunion. We are inviting you into our home – the Palladium warehouse and offices – where we make you feel like our welcomed guests.

Kevin Siembieda, the Palladium staff and all our freelance writers, artists and Game Masters are fan boys and gamers just like you. And that means they are there with you running games, chatting, telling stories, helping out, signing books and clowning around right in the thick of things all day long. That’s right, unless they are running an event, you have access to Kevin and crew the entire day. What other gaming event is there where you can hang with the people who make the games you enjoy for 10-15 hours? None.

How can that be? Because we are all gaming nerds and geeks just like the rest of you. We love to play games, trade game stories, share secrets, talk about comic books and movies, and have fun with other members of the Palladium family – you.

Limited space and parking. Attendance is limited to around 300 people. Having sufficient parking is becoming a big issue, so you may have to car pool from the hotel as it is.


Meet Dozens of Palladium Creators


One of the most unique aspects of the Palladium Open House is the wide availability you have to Palladium creators. Kevin, the Palladium staff and all of our freelance writers, artists, Rifter contributors, and personalities are there with you the entire weekend.

That’s right. You get to walk up and shake hands and chat, sign autographs and spend one-on-one time with Palladium staff members, writers, artists, contributors, or Defilers, one-on-one (or in a small group) for 10-20-30 minutes at a time (sometimes longer). Likewise, you may get to play in a game run by a Palladium creator like Kevin Siembieda, Carmen Bellaire, Matthew Clements, Julius Rosenstein, Matt Balent, Carl Gleba, Jason Richards, Brandon Aten, Greg Diaczyk, Steven Dawes, Braden Campbell and others. Ask questions, participate in panel discussions, and maybe get a tour of the Palladium offices by Kevin Siembieda himself.

That’s the beauty of a small, intimate gathering like the Palladium Open House, you actually get to meet and spend time with the people who make the games you enjoy.

If the Crisis of Treachery and the loss of so many beloved Palladium creators have taught us anything, it is not to take any of this for granted. It could all be gone in the blink of an eye. Price of Admission


Advance Ticket Purchase Guarantees Your Admission – May 15, 16 & 17, 2015 (VIP Night, May 14, 2015 is an additional day and extra cost of $87).

  • 3-Day Weekend Admission: Friday, Saturday and Sunday – $45 per person
  • Friday Only – $25
  • Saturday Only – $25
  • Sunday Only (the day ends at 5:00 PM) – $12
  • VIP Thursday (this is an ADDITIONAL cost) – $87 – if you are planning to attend the rest of the weekend, you’ll need to get a weekend admission as well. VIP Thursday is limited to 100 people plus the Palladium Staff and Freelancers. You get the delicious meal catered by Palladium’s very own Kathy Simmons (people rave about her meal), plus you get an extra afternoon and evening of gaming (opens late afternoon), a more intimate chance to talk with Palladium staff, artists and writers, and first crack at rare collectibles, prints and original art.

$45 per person for the Three Day Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) when ordered in advance per each individual. ($60 at the door and after March 31, 2015, if space is available.)

$25 for Friday, 9:00 AM till Closing (about midnight). Same price at the door, if space is available.

$25 for Saturday, 9:00 AM till Closing (about midnight). Same price at the door, if space is available.

$87 additional for VIP Night – Thursday – May 14, 2014. The VIP Night always sells out within weeks, so make your reservation as soon as possible. First-come, first-served. VIP Night is a special, one-evening event limited to around 100 gamers – 60 are available right now. VIP Thursday, May 14, 2014: 3:00 P.M. till 12:00 P.M. This event sells out every year in a week or two (sometimes in a day or two). NOTE: As has become tradition, we hold a number of VIP slots to be offered at a later date – typically February – so that gamers who decide to attend at a later date have a chance at getting into the coveted VIP Night too. There are more details about VIP Night later in this description.

All tickets are be sold on a first come, first served basis, so get your reservations in as soon as possible! Due to space and parking limitations and safety concerns, attendance will be limited to approximately 350 admission tickets.

Cancellation: You can cancel your Open House or V.I.P. order up to March 1, 2015 and get a FULL refund. But please don’t place an order unless you REALLY think you’ll be able to attend.

Order early to guarantee your place at the 2015 Palladium Open House. Ordering early also gets you a lower cost, low number on your event badge, and peace of mind.

We NEED to know in advance how many gamers are coming so we have enough games and events to keep everyone busy. The sooner you order, the better for Palladium. Credits Cards will be charged immediately, but you can get a refund up to March 1, 2015.

All “advance” reservations must be in by April 12, 2015; after that it is pay at the door. A name must be assigned to each ticket. No refunds for cancellations after March 1, 2015. No refunds for no-shows. Tickets will be available at the door, provided there is still room! Limited to around 350 people. Kathy Simmons will be handling reservations and tickets, so you know everything will be timely and organized.


V.I.P. Thursday – An afternoon

& night event (an additional cost)


V.I.P. Night (3:00 P.M. to 11:55 P.M.): An evening with Kevin Siembieda, the Palladium staff and two dozen or more freelancers. Limited to around 100 lucky individuals. Sixty VIP tickets are available now. Twenty will be held till February, 2015.

V.I.P. Thursday includes:

* Dinner (5:30 P.M.; no extra charge) with Kevin, the Palladium Staff and at least 20 other Palladium creators (freelance artists and writers).

* Snacks and soft drinks (no extra charge).

* First crack at buying products, artwork, rare items, etc.

* Private tour of the Palladium offices by Kevin Siembieda (worth it alone to see the artwork hanging on the walls and hear Kevin’s stories).

* An intimate setting where you can chat with dozens of Palladium creators.

* Open Talk presented by Kevin Siembieda in which he will introduce the many members of the Palladium crew, talk about the latest goings-on, and then open to questions and answers. Any question may be “asked,” though we can’t promise all will be answered.

* 8-9 hours of gaming or hanging out and chatting with Kevin and the Palladium crew.

POH Game Masters Needed!!!!


If you are a quality Game Master with experience, you are coming to the Palladium Open House, and would like to run one or more gaming events at the POH, please contact us as soon as possible.

We especially want our “creators” – freelance writers and artists – and Megaversal Ambassadors, to run several events throughout the Open House. I’ll be running 2-4 a day, depending on the day.

G.M.s who are scheduled, in advance (PLEASE, no later than March 15, 2015), to run 3 or more events will get a special T-shirt and a 30% discount on all Palladium product purchases (does NOT apply to auction items, concessions, toys, prints or artwork).

What we will need from G.M.s:

  • RPG/world setting (Rifts®, Robotech®, HU2, Fantasy, BTS, Ninjas & Superspies, etc.).
  • Game Description: A brief, but dynamic description of the game.
  • Maximum number of players: 6-10 is typical, but run what YOU feel comfortable with running.
  • Running time: 3-4 hours is typical, and best for these kinds of events, longer can be a problem.
  • What days you can run: VIP Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
  • When: Do you have a preferred time of day you want to run? If so, what is it (10 AM, noon, 8:00 PM, what)? If we can not give you that time slot will you run earlier or later?
  • Multiple games: If you are running multiple times, is it the same game? If different games, provide all this information for EACH.
  • Please bring pre-rolled “player” character sheets: Pre-rolled character sheets/descriptions for each player is strongly advised. Why waste time rolling up characters? Let’s game!
  • Minimum age of the players: Especially if the game has mature content or extreme violence. Please indicate if it is not suitable for players under the age of 17.

POH Volunteers Needed!


We will need volunteers to help us set up, handle admissions (confirming I.D.s, handing out name badges), store/sales assistance/restocking shelves, collecting garbage, gopher, general assistance, parking lot, etc.

You’ll get a volunteer’s badge and select perks that may include a product discount percentage commensurate with the amount of work and hours put in. NOTE: If you volunteer, please show up. Volunteers have to purchase their own admission ticket.

Important Note: For legal reasons, we must ask all potential guests of the Palladium Open House to read the following Consent to Participate and Release of Liability agreement. By purchasing a ticket to the Open House, you duly agree to accept the terms within this Release. If you don't accept the terms, please do NOT purchase a ticket. Thank you.


By purchasing this ticket(s), I/we do hereby state that I/we wish to participate in activities sponsored by the internationally known role-playing game publisher, Palladium Books, Inc., a Michigan corporation (hereafter "Palladium").

I/we understand that attendance and all activities are VOLUNTARY and that I/we do not have to attend or participate unless I/we choose to do so. I/we understand that by attending the Palladium Open House and participating in panel talks and gaming events that I/we voluntarily accept and assume the risk to myself or damage to or loss of my property. I/we understand and agree that Palladium does NOT provide any insurance coverage for my person or my property. I/we acknowledge that I/we am responsible for my safety and my own health care needs, and for the protection of my/our vehicle and property.

In exchange for allowing me/us to participate in the Open House activities and events, I/we agree to release from liability, agree to indemnify, and hold harmless Palladium Books Inc., and any Palladium agent, officer, employee or volunteer worker acting within the scope of their duties, for any injury to my person or damage or loss of property.

This Release shall be binding upon myself/ourselves, successors in interest, and/or any person(s) suing on my/our behalf. We further agree that any disagreements under this agreement shall be resolved under the laws of, and in courts located in, the State of Michigan.

I/we voluntarily agree to it as is acknowledged by the purchasing of this ticket.
